RAINIER BEACH HIGH SCHOOL FREEDOM FIGHTERS

Seattle city council members made a unanimous decision to pass the Orca card passport program for low-income students on Wednesday. The pilot program offered 50 cards to students. The approved plan will allow more Orca cards to be distributed to high school and middle school students on free and reduced lunch and who live beyond one mile away from their school. The victory is attributed to students who demanded transit justice for all low-income students. Meet some Freedom School leaders and students who were a part of the movement. Here's the dispatch.
